Welcome to Slo County Moms! My name is Ellen Gaver and I live on the Central Coast of California with my husband, Bob, and our son, Danny. My passion is creating a healthy environment for my family as well as building financial stability without sacrificing quality time with my son. Slo County Moms evolved as my adventure into the world of working from home began.
Eight years ago, I left my career as a Grocery Store Manager to come home and raise our only son, then six. I was working 60 hours a week at the store and my son was being raised at daycare. I worked (and cried) many Christmas mornings, Easter Sundays, nights and weekends. I saw my son 2 hours per day on average and the stress was unbearable. My husband and I decided that, whatever it took, our son needed his mom at home, and equally, I needed to be home with him! It was then that I left my career and began looking for ways to earn income from home. It was frightening to give up a generous and stable income, but it was the best decision I ever made and I am grateful for every day that I’ve been able to spend involved in our son’s life!
After looking at business opportunities for a full year and a half, I finally found an ethical, honest company that offered a wonderful, risk-free opportunity to work from home. Slo County Moms was formed as a way of sharing my passion for wellness with others and bringing moms and dads together whose goals are the same. Partnered with this international wellness company, we work together as a team setting up wholesale accounts for new customers and mentoring those who want to achieve their own success through our business model. By teaching people how to do what we’ve done, it strengthens our team, ensures our success and everyone wins.
